During Advent there is what is commonly called the Rorate Mass, a votive Mass in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary that is traditionally celebrated in a candlelit church. The Mass receives its name from the first words of the opening chant in Latin: “Rorate caeli desuper, et nubes pluant iustum” (“Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the Just One,” Isaiah 45:8).

Join St. Bernard's faculty and staff in person for an evening of prayer and caroling! The evening will begin with a candlelit Mass, inviting us to enter more deeply into the quiet and expectant spirit of Advent as we await the coming of Christ. Following Mass, we will gather for light refreshments and caroling with Fr. Aaron Kelly. We hope you will join us as we conclude the fall semester in prayer and prepare our hearts for the coming of our Lord!

When: Tuesday, December 15th, 5:30 - 7:30pm

Where: St. Bernard's Campus: 120 French Road, Rochester, NY

We invite you to give a year-end tax deductible donation to St. Bernard's! If your gift is one of remembrance, please include their name below, and your intentions will be prayed for at our Advent Liturgy.
