On April 22nd, the New York State Assembly announced its intention to take up A136/S138 — legislation that would legalize MAID.
This is a pivotal moment. Your awareness, prayers, and action are urgently needed to help protect the vulnerable and uphold the dignity of every human life.
Amanda Achtman holds a Master’s degree from the John Paul II Catholic University in Lublin, Poland, and a Licentiate degree from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. She has worked on Parliament Hill in an effort to prevent the expansion of euthanasia/MAID to persons with living with disabilities or mental illness. Amanda works with Canadian Physicians for Life and teaches Catholic Bioethics at End of Life at St. Bernard’s School of Theology and Ministry. She is also the founder of Dying to Meet You, a project of cultural renewal to humanize our conversations on suffering, death, meaning, and hope.
